The Avon Grove Community will have an opportunity to "Meet the Candidates" on Thursday, May 9th. This is our chance to hear the candidates' views on education, school activities, taxes and more. The event is being facilitated by the League of Women's Voters and will be held in the Fred S. Engle Middle School cafeteria starting at 7pm. Questions for the candidates will come from the audience. Mark your calendars and save the date to learn more about those running for the Avon Grove School Board. The future of the school district is in our hands.

Penn London’s PTA is seeking committee chairpersons for the 2013-2014 school year.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in your child’s school and make a difference! All positions receive support from the PTA Officers and from other volunteers. If you are interested please complete the form below and return it to Penn London in your Child’s backpack or drop it off in the PLE Main Office, and we will contact you. Please support our Kids Walk event : On Friday, May 3rd, the entire student body will participate in the Kids Walk during their special time. The students will be walking a marked course for 30 minutes to help raise money, all the while getting to spend time together outside. The money raised will be used to refurbish Playground C with a portion of the proceeds going to Relay Recess of the American Cancer Society. All donations are tax deductible.

We have a General PTA meeting this Wednesday, April 10th, at 6:45 pm at Penn London in the library! Please come on out and get involved and see the exciting things going on at Penn London.

PLAYGROUND COMMITTEE
We are creating a playground committee to come up with some options for Playground C (the one on the back near the cafeteria). Parts of the existing structure were removed near the beginning of the year and we would like to come up with a few different scenarios as to how to address this large space, much of which is asphalt. Any and all ideas are welcomed! I am hoping that we will only meet a few times and will be looking to meet starting in late January - please let me know if you would like to be involved either by replying to this email or sending one to president@plepta.org.
